My name is Lizzie.
My mind is my best friend, and my biggest nemesis. I have a weird, complicated relationship with my own brain, but I wouldn’t change it for a single second.
I have a comorbid diagnosis of Bipolar II and Health Anxiety.
I am a school teacher with a specialism in mental health.
I, by no means, class myself as an expert. But, I am here to share my story about how a Bipolar and Anxiety diagnosis is not a life sentence.
I want to spread hope for those living with such a diagnosis, equip people to celebrate their neurodiversity in the midst of working out what life’s about and whilst we’re all effectively grasping reality.
Here you will find stories, tips and general musings regarding everything mental health, as we all navigate life with this diagnosis.
If you have been coexisting with a similar diagnosis for a while, you may find humour in a lot of the stories and relate.
If you are just starting out your journey trying to negotiate your own brain, you may find useful information, coping mechanisms and explanations of jargon that seem overwhelming.
Wherever you are in your journey, we are all here together. A mental health disorder is NOT a life sentence.
Stay strong and live life to the fullest,
